Ladies President Val’s message:
Dunmow hosted the Harlow & District Ladies league AGM and Spoon Drive on 11th September.
The bowls drive was interrupted for about 20 minutes by a passing storm, then we had a very nice tea and sandwiches followed by the AGM.
Dunmow won the league this summer for the second time since we joined in 2020, and were presented with the trophy at the end of the meeting.

In my role as Vice Captain this year it has been my pleasure to organise the Thursday Night League teams. I would like to thank each and everyone of you for committing your time and energy to playing in the league, you have all represented the club and yourselves magnificently. We are a wonderful team of ladies who love playing bowls and have made lasting friendships through our hobby.
It is my hope that you will all put your names down for next year’s Thursday Night League and that we can encourage other ladies who wouldn’t ordinarily play competitively to give it a go.
Looking forward to next season when we will be the defending champions.
